I really love the background colors in this painting. The oysters were not too difficult to paint but getting the right opalescence for the shells WAS challenging. I'm sorry it doesn't show up better in this photo. This painting will be shown at The Wine Therapist in Lakewood opening on May 1st. Finally finished my giant cupcakes painting. Very simple but a "Fun" painting for a little girl's room or a funky kitchen. I used Liquin Impasto to raise the frosting on the cupcakes. Interesting medium to experiment with.

Oysters on the Half Shell.... YUMMMM. Love 'em. I'm thrilled the painting will be exhibited at the Wine Therapist in May! Oysters on the half shell and wine... deee....lish.
