I've been at the studio a lot in the last 6 days.  Painting, painting, painting!  Kay has help a lot by framing my little ones.  I have picked and picked at the baby portrait I am doing and now she looks pretty much like herself and not a cartoon baby. I've started a commission and I am doing a painting of a baby (Tyler) that Lindsey Wynne was nanny to in Oklahoma ................... he is just too cute.  If they want it, I'll sell it to the parents and if they don't, I'll use it as an example of my portraits!

Next week I will only be working at the studio on Monday and Tuesday because I'm preparing for my Garage/Affordable Art sale. If my paintings don't sell, I'll open up an ETSY account or put them on Ebay.  They are a steal at $57.00

Will post framed pics this week.

This has taken a while to create because it was made up of leftover paint.  Very simple so I put it in this very busy frame.  Thank you Kay for all your help and inspiration. This one, as with all my paintings, is for sale.

This small came together very quickly. Working on several more flowers and several fruits and vegetables.
Another small 6x8 titled "Vacation". Not my favorite.
Fixed Mark's forehead so he doesn't look like Frankenstein! This is one of my small 6x8 paintings.
Finally finished details on Keaton.  Now just waiting on the frame to arrive. Might be her Daddy's Father's Day present! Not such a good picture of it.  Got to work on that.

This is Nathan and Kelli Hale's 8 month old little girl, Keaton Marie.
I have decided to paint small (6x8) so my work can be sold at a reasonable price.  Will test market them at a garage - art sale at my house soon. Need to frame them very simply. This painting will be $45.00

I finally put the finishing touches on the doily and highlights of this painting.  Didn't do such a hot job of cropping this one.  Still I loved the subject and the feelings it brings back every time I look at it.
I got this painting photographed and cropped myself.  Sweet Karen Rike has been doing this for all of our studio for the past year!  I decided to try to do it on my own and not be such a burden. You have to start somewhere.

This is the picture after one very light glaze of pink and pale purple.  I think I still need a little more ..... what does anyone else think?
I haven't put a glaze on this in this poor picture but will try to add the latest with one layer of glaze. I want this flower to POP! Please give suggestions.

Stephanie Dupree went to Round Top Antique Show for the first time and decided she wanted a cowboy hat.  When she put it on she looked like a Ralph Lauren model and I took a bunch of pictures of her.  This is the first in a series I would like to paint of her.  The background was really nice and she was an easy subject to paint. Hope she likes it.
